The purpose of this day is to "empower youth to become entrepreneurs by experiencing the process of starting, owning, and operating their own business—a lemonade stand. The nationwide, experiential program teaches essential life skills such as financial literacy, goal setting, marketing, customer service and problem-solving." (Lemonadeday.org)
